Fine Artist/Craftsman and Superior Design Creativity

My Story

I’ve always enjoyed drawing since I was a kid, and I’ve always had a knack for creating things. I designed and built a few furniture items in my younger days, but once I got ahold of a scroll saw, that took my creativity to a whole new level. In the fall of 2019 I decided to finally get more involved with woodcarving, and learned that probably the best way to paint the carvings was with an airbrush. I just happened to have one that I had purchased in the mid 90’s but had never used. I had no idea what I was doing, so I started searching online for some direction. That’s when I found my Mentor, Timothy John-Luke Smith PSA! Well the rest of the story is somewhat obvious if you look at the progression of my art. The airbrush has opened up a whole new world for me as far as creativity is concerned. I’m excited about the level this process is taking my art to. I hope I can attract more people into collecting some of my art while I continue to grow as an artist. If you think you might want a commissioned piece please contact me at the link below.

Modern Art with a Classical Touch

This one is called “Hero,” and he was for many of us. This is a scroll saw portrait of my Uncle Mel Mummery, done from a photo taken by his son Bob Mummery. This one took second place in the Manitoba Arts Council Online Gallery in 2020.

Katana Rack for that special someone.
